Description
Operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean structures, vehicles, and industrial surfaces, removing dirt, grease, coatings, and other contaminants using water, heat, and cleaning agents.
- • Operate high-pressure washers, surface cleaners, and steam units to clean buildings, vehicles, equipment, and pavement.
- • Mix and apply detergents, degreasers, and pretreatments according to job specifications.
- • Set and adjust pressure, temperature, flow, and spray patterns; start pumps and burners.
- • Monitor gauges, thermometers, and spray performance; adjust controls to maintain safe, effective cleaning.
- • Test solution strength or pH with meters or strips; draw samples when required.
- • Rinse, neutralize, and manage wastewater; contain runoff per environmental regulations.
- • Inspect hoses, wands, nozzles, and machines to detect leaks or malfunctions.
- • Perform routine maintenance: clean filters, replace nozzles, lubricate fittings, and tighten connections.
- • Document materials used, settings, processing times, and results in job logs or work orders.
- • Set up and break down job sites; place barriers and signage and protect adjacent surfaces.
- • Load, unload, and stage equipment, hoses, and accessories; coil and store after use.
