Description
Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and facility areas by operating sanitation systems, preparing chemicals, and verifying parameters to meet hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.
- • Operate CIP/COP systems, pressure washers, and floor scrubbers to clean and sanitize equipment and facility surfaces.
- • Prepare and dose approved detergents and sanitizers per procedures to maintain required concentrations.
- • Drain, clean, and refill tanks, lines, and cleaning systems at scheduled intervals.
- • Measure, mix, and label cleaning solutions using calibrated tools.
- • Perform titration or test-strip checks to verify solution concentration, pH, and sanitizer strength; collect swabs or samples as required.
- • Monitor gauges, temperatures, and flow rates; adjust controls to meet cleaning parameters.
- • Set cycle times, temperatures, and flow for cleaning systems and start pumps, conveyors, and agitators.
- • Inspect equipment and sanitation tools for wear or malfunctions and report issues.
- • Document chemical usage, parameters, cleaning times, and test results in logs or CMMS.
- • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment parts using hand tools, following LOTO and safety procedures.
- • Stage parts and utensils for cleaning; load and unload washers, racks, and sanitation stations.
