Description
Operate and monitor Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems to clean and sanitize processing tanks, lines, and equipment by preparing, circulating, and verifying chemical solutions to remove residues and ensure hygienic, compliant operations.
  • • Operate automated CIP skids to clean and sanitize tanks, vessels, piping, fillers, and process equipment.
  • • Prepare and dose caustic, acid, and sanitizer solutions per SOPs to maintain target concentrations.
  • • Measure, mix, and verify cleaning chemicals using conductivity, titration, or pH checks.
  • • Monitor conductivity, temperature, flow, and time; adjust setpoints and valves to maintain validated parameters.
  • • Configure programs, start and stop pumps and valves, and set cycle times and temperatures.
  • • Initiate and complete pre-rinse, wash, intermediate rinse, sanitize, and final rinse steps; drain and flush systems as scheduled.
  • • Collect and submit rinse or solution samples for ATP or microbial testing; verify results meet specifications.
  • • Inspect CIP components, spray balls, seals, pumps, and valves; identify leaks, blockages, or malfunctions.
  • • Connect and disconnect sanitary hoses and fittings; isolate equipment and verify correct CIP line-ups.
  • • Document chemical usage, cycle data, test results, and deviations in sanitation logs to meet GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • • Follow safety, chemical handling, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures; escalate maintenance needs or assist with basic upkeep of CIP equipment.
