Description
Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses—such as corporate finance, investments, financial markets, and risk management—and conduct finance research. Advise students, develop curricula, and contribute to departmental service and industry engagement.
  • • Prepare and deliver lectures on corporate finance, investments, financial markets, and risk management.
  • • Evaluate and grade students’ assignments, case studies, projects, and papers.
  • • Design, administer, and grade examinations and practical assessments.
  • • Prepare course materials, including syllabi, assignments, datasets, and slides.
  • • Maintain attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
  • • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate case discussions and simulations.
  • • Plan, evaluate, and revise finance curricula, course content, and teaching methods.
  • • Hold regular office hours to advise and assist students.
  • • Stay current with finance research, market developments, and regulations.
  • • Advise students on academic planning, certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM), and finance careers.
  • • Select textbooks, cases, and access to financial databases and software.
  • • Collaborate with colleagues on teaching innovations and research projects.
  • • Partner with financial institutions to enhance programs and create internship opportunities.
  • • Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and placement activities.
  • • Serve on departmental and university committees addressing academic matters.
  • • Engage in campus and community events, talks, and workshops.
  • • Compile bibliographies and reading lists of specialized finance materials.
  • • Perform administrative duties, such as coordinating the finance program or area.
  • • Supervise student teaching assistants, internships, and research projects.
  • • Conduct original finance research and publish in peer-reviewed outlets.
  • • Advise finance-related student organizations and competitions.
  • • Provide professional consulting or expert services to industry or government.
  • • Write grant proposals to secure research and experiential learning funding.
  • • Develop and maintain course websites and learning management system content.
  • • Mentor new faculty and junior researchers.
