Description
Teach courses in business analytics and decision science, such as data management, statistical analysis, machine learning, data visualization, business intelligence, and operations research. Includes both faculty primarily engaged in teaching and those who combine teaching with research and industry-engaged projects.
- • Prepare and deliver lectures on data management, statistics, machine learning, visualization, and business intelligence.

- • Participate in student recruitment, registration, and job placement activities.
- • Serve on academic or administrative committees addressing policies and departmental matters.
- • Participate in campus and community events related to analytics and data literacy.
- • Compile bibliographies and curated data sources for outside reading and analysis.
- • Perform administrative duties, such as coordinating analytics labs, budgets, or programs.
- • Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching assistants, internships, capstones, and research.
- • Conduct research in business analytics or data science and publish findings.
- • Advise and support analytics or data science student organizations.
- • Provide analytics consulting or executive education to government or industry partners.
- • Write grant proposals to obtain external funding for analytics research or infrastructure.
- • Develop and maintain course websites, code repositories, and learning platforms.
- • Mentor new faculty in analytics pedagogy, research, and industry engagement.
