Description
Support biotechnology research and production by setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory and bioprocess equipment; culturing cells and microbes; and performing molecular, microbiological, and biochemical assays. Monitor experiments and production runs, collect and analyze samples and data, and document results under GLP/GMP and biosafety standards. May support development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or industrial biotech products.
- • Provide technical support to scientists and engineers in bioprocessing and molecular biology.
- • Clean, disinfect, and organize work areas; manage biohazard waste.
- • Support development or manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, or diagnostics under SOPs.
- • Perform standardized molecular, microbiological, and biochemical tests (e.g., PCR, qPCR, ELISA).
- • Analyze data, interpret results, and draft reports and summaries.
- • Prepare and measure reagents, buffers, media, and solutions.
- • Monitor experiments and process runs; record parameters and test data.
- • Inspect cell cultures and microbial colonies for growth and contamination.
- • Maintain detailed ELN and batch records for all activities.
- • Monitor lab and bioprocess operations for GLP/GMP, biosafety, and quality compliance.
- • Collect, process, and prepare biological samples for analysis.
- • Operate computer-interfaced instruments and automation for assays.
- • Assist R&D by preparing materials, running assays, and collecting samples.
- • Set up, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot lab and bioprocess equipment.
- • Maintain cell lines and microbial stocks using aseptic technique.
- • Enter and manage data in LIMS and other databases.
- • Maintain inventory and order laboratory equipment and supplies.
