Description
Teach undergraduate biological science courses with a primary emphasis on instruction; design curricula, deliver lectures and labs, assess learning, mentor students, and coordinate TAs and instructional service.
- • Prepare and deliver undergraduate lectures and laboratories in biology.
- • Evaluate and grade students' classwork, lab work, assignments, and papers.
- • Compile, administer, and grade quizzes and examinations.
- • Supervise student laboratory activities and enforce safety practices.
- • Stay current in biology and evidence-based teaching methods.

- • Contribute to instructional grant proposals and resource development when applicable.
- • Perform assigned administrative duties such as multi-section course coordination.
- • Advise or support relevant student organizations and clubs.
- • Curate reading lists and digital resources for outside assignments.
- • Partner with community or industry contacts to support course-based projects.
- • Develop lab manuals, assignments, rubrics, and handouts.
- • Provide targeted support to students needing additional help outside class.
- • Organize field trips or experiential learning activities when appropriate.
- • Review and improve instructional materials and assessments.
- • Coordinate maintenance and calibration of teaching lab equipment with technical staff.
