Description
Sell and solicit orders for custom signs and display solutions for storefronts, interiors, events, and public spaces, coordinating design proofs, production, permitting, and installation.
  • • Prepare and deliver consultative sales presentations on signage and display solutions to new and existing clients.
  • • Explain how specific sign types, materials, lighting, and placements will meet visibility, branding, and compliance goals.
  • • Maintain an assigned account base and actively develop new business through prospecting and referrals.
  • • Process account correspondence, proposals, change orders, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • • Deliver design proofs, renderings, and material samples for client review and approval.
  • • Draft quotes, sales orders, and contracts; secure deposits and collect payments.
  • • Prospect and contact businesses, property managers, franchises, and event organizers to offer sign and display services.
  • • Provide detailed estimates covering design, fabrication, permitting, shipping, and installation.
  • • Recommend sizes, materials, illumination, mounting methods, and finishes based on site, budget, and timeline.
  • • Advise on artwork specifications, color matching, substrates, and hardware options; provide samples and templates.
  • • Assess site conditions, brand standards, traffic patterns, and code requirements to tailor proposals.
  • • Select appropriate sign and display types and prepare mockups or overlays on site photos for presentation.
  • • Collaborate with designers, fabricators, installers, and project managers to plan production and rollout.
  • • Prepare proposals, bill of materials, timelines, and sales collateral using CRM and design tools.
  • • Identify new markets and opportunities (e.g., retail remodels, construction sites, franchise programs) and propose packages.
  • • Contribute copy and layout guidance for sign and display graphics while ensuring brand consistency.
  • • Attend sales meetings, industry trade shows, and training to promote offerings and expand product knowledge.
  • • Gather bid documents, conduct takeoffs from plans, and coordinate bidding and contract approvals.
  • • Arrange site surveys, permitting, and installation schedules; accompany clients on walkthroughs and punch lists.
  • • Develop sales playbooks, case studies, and product guides for team use.
