Description
Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment processes and equipment to produce safe, compliant drinking water using control panels, instruments, and laboratory tests.
- • Dose treatment chemicals (e.g., chlorine, coagulants, lime) to meet water quality targets.
- • Operate, monitor, and adjust pumps, valves, filters, and disinfection systems via control panels or SCADA.
- • Inspect equipment and monitor meters, gauges, and online analyzers to detect malfunctions and meet demand.
- • Collect and test water samples for turbidity, pH, chlorine residual, and other parameters.
- • Record operational data, test results, and alarms in logs and reporting systems.
- • Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and lubrication on treatment and chemical feed equipment.
- • Clean and maintain tanks, filter beds, basins, and work areas using appropriate tools and procedures.
- • Assist with troubleshooting process upsets, startups and shutdowns, and regulatory compliance documentation.
