Description
Operate, monitor, and adjust treatment plant processes and control systems to treat and transfer water or wastewater, ensuring safe, compliant operations.
- • Add and dose treatment chemicals (e.g., chlorine, ammonia, lime) to disinfect and condition water or wastewater.
- • Operate and adjust pumps, valves, clarifiers, filters, aeration, and sludge handling equipment to meet process targets.
- • Monitor SCADA, meters, and gauges; inspect equipment to assess loads and detect malfunctions.
- • Collect and analyze process samples (e.g., pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, BOD/MLSS) to verify performance and compliance.
- • Record operational data, meter readings, test results, and incidents in logs and reporting systems.
- • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication; assist with repairs using hand and power tools.
- • Coordinate with other operators and maintenance staff to support safe, continuous operations.
- • Clean and maintain tanks, basins, filters, and work areas to meet safety and sanitary standards.
