Take and deliver deckside beverage and snack orders, set up lounge chairs and service stations, maintain clean and safe deck areas, and assist guests with information and activities.
  • • Check guest identification to verify legal drinking age for alcoholic beverages.
  • • Collect payments or post charges for beverages, snacks, and rentals to guest accounts.
  • • Record deckside orders and enter them into POS for bar or galley fulfillment.
  • • Take beverage and light snack orders from guests on deck and by the pool.
  • • Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve service issues.
  • • Serve drinks and snacks on deck; prepare simple beverages as required.
  • • Prepare and present itemized checks or charge slips.
  • • Provide menus and answer questions; make recommendations upon request.
  • • Inform guests of daily drink specials, events, and promotions.
  • • Clear and sanitize deck tables, lounge chairs, and side surfaces after use.
  • • Prepare basic hot, cold, and mixed drinks; chill bottled beverages.
  • • Explain ingredients and preparation of drinks and snacks, noting allergens.
  • • Set up deck areas, including arranging lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, and side tables.
  • • Perform simple prep such as assembling snacks, brewing coffee, and portioning grab-and-go items.
  • • Stock deck service stations with ice, glassware, disposables, towels, and beverages.
  • • Garnish drinks and plate snacks for service.
  • • Refill napkins, straws, condiments, water stations, and other self-service items.
  • • Assist guests in finding deck seating and adjusting chairs or umbrellas.
  • • Recommend wines, cocktails, beers, and nonalcoholic beverages to guests.
  • • Deliver beverages with appropriate glassware and pour upon request.
  • • Set up deck bars, snack stations, and seating for events or large parties.
  • • Remove used glassware, plates, and trash from deck areas and return items for cleaning.
  • • Manage towel distribution and cabana or lounge chair reservations; greet and thank guests.
  • • Clean and maintain deck and pool areas, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and taking out trash; check nearby restrooms.
  • • Provide information on ship amenities, schedules, and ports of call; give directions.
  • • Monitor deck safety, enforce pool and sun-deck rules, and report hazards or incidents.
