Description
Conduct empirical research on political systems, behavior, and policy. Design studies; collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data—such as surveys, election returns, and public documents—to inform decision-making. Assess the structure and operations of governments and political organizations, public opinion, and decision-making. Produce evidence-based reports, briefs, and forecasts for policy and strategy.
  • • Provide methodological training and briefings to teams and stakeholders.
  • • Disseminate findings through reports, briefs, datasets, and presentations.
  • • Identify research questions and analytical priorities.
  • • Develop and test hypotheses, methods, and instruments using interviews, media, case law, historical records, polls, and statistical data.
  • • Maintain current knowledge of policy decisions, elections, and relevant data sources.
  • • Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data from elections, surveys, and public records; report findings and recommendations.
  • • Analyze policies, public issues, legislation, and the operations of governments, businesses, and organizations.
  • • Evaluate programs and policies and produce evidence-based recommendations.
  • • Draft policy memos, legislative summaries, speech materials, and talking points informed by research.
  • • Model and forecast political, economic, and social trends using statistical and computational tools.
  • • Consult with and advise officials, civic groups, research partners, parties, and media on research design and results.
  • • Provide data-driven briefings, visualizations, and background for media and public audiences.
  • • Advise and mentor junior researchers, analysts, or interns on methods and standards.
  • • Serve on project committees and research working groups.
