Description
Monitor, analyze, and influence public policy and legislation on behalf of an organization. Track government actions, assess impacts, develop advocacy strategies, and engage with policymakers, coalitions, and stakeholders. Prepare policy briefs, comments, and testimony, and advise leadership on regulatory and political risks and opportunities.
  • • Monitor and track legislation, regulations, and policy developments at federal, state, and local levels.
  • • Analyze policy proposals and assess operational, financial, and reputational impacts on the organization.
  • • Develop and execute government relations and advocacy strategies.
  • • Draft policy positions, comment letters, testimony, and briefing materials.
  • • Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, regulators, and staff.
  • • Coordinate meetings, fly-ins, and outreach with policymakers and stakeholders.
  • • Prepare reports, dashboards, and briefings for executives and business units.
  • • Represent the organization in coalitions, trade associations, and public forums.
  • • Organize and support hearings, rulemakings, and public comment participation.
  • • Advise internal teams on compliance, lobbying rules, and political activity.
  • • Support grassroots and grasstops advocacy and stakeholder mobilization.
  • • Forecast political and regulatory trends and recommend proactive actions.
  • • Manage issues tracking, CRM records, and advocacy calendars.
  • • Plan and deliver internal trainings on policy issues and engagement best practices.
