Description
Plan, lead, and evaluate public participation efforts that inform government and organizational decisions. Gather, analyze, and synthesize community input through meetings, surveys, and digital tools, translating findings into actionable recommendations. Ensure equitable, accessible engagement, advise officials on policies and programs, and uphold public involvement standards.
  • • Plan and implement inclusive public participation strategies for policies and projects.
  • • Identify stakeholders, map communities, and build partnerships with local organizations.
  • • Design and facilitate meetings, workshops, and online engagement; develop and administer surveys and interviews to gather input.
  • • Ensure equity and accessibility, including language access and ADA accommodations.
  • • Track policy proposals and project timelines to align engagement activities.
  • • Collect, analyze, and synthesize public input and demographic data; report findings and recommendations.
  • • Translate complex policies and plans into plain-language materials and visual summaries.
  • • Draft public notices, comment summaries, speeches, and correspondence for officials.
  • • Advise officials, project teams, and civic bodies on engagement methods and dispute resolution.
  • • Disseminate results through reports, dashboards, briefings, and public presentations.
  • • Evaluate engagement programs, define metrics, and implement improvements.
  • • Coordinate media outreach and social media related to participation efforts.
  • • Train staff, volunteers, and community leaders on civic processes and engagement tools.
  • • Serve on interdepartmental teams, advisory boards, and community committees.
