Description
Control unwanted vegetation by inspecting sites and using herbicide and mechanical methods in landscapes, rights-of-way, and agricultural settings; mix and calibrate chemicals and equipment; follow label directions, safety protocols, and state certification requirements.
- • Inspect sites to identify weed species, growth stages, and infestation levels.
- • Mix and fill sprayer tanks with water and herbicides according to label formulas.
- • Apply pre- and post-emergent herbicides with specified coverage, accounting for weather, droplet size, terrain, and drift.
- • Maneuver wands, hoses, and booms to target weeds in designated areas.
- • Start and operate backpack, ATV, and truck-mounted sprayers, pumps, and agitators.
- • Select and connect nozzles and tips based on weed type, pattern requirements, and site conditions.
- • Clean, calibrate, and service spray equipment to maintain safe, efficient operation.
