Description
Apply and mix pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides via sprays, dusts, vapors, or soil treatments to trees, shrubs, lawns, and crops; calibrate equipment and follow label directions and safety protocols. Usually requires specific training and state or federal certification.
- • Read labels, calculate mix rates, and fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals.
- • Mix and load pesticides for application to trees, shrubs, lawns, and crops.
- • Calibrate sprayers and set droplet size, pressure, and speed for target coverage.
- • Operate booms, wands, nozzles, hoses, and tubes to apply products over designated areas.
- • Start and control pumps, agitators, and portable spray equipment.
