Description
Prepare and mix pesticide spray solutions for vegetation control, calibrate and load application equipment, maintain mixing systems and records, and enforce safety and environmental compliance; typically requires job-specific training and state certification.
- • Measure and mix pesticides, herbicides, and adjuvants according to labels and prescriptions.
- • Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals to specified ratios and volumes.
- • Operate and monitor agitators, transfer pumps, and mixing systems during batching.
- • Check solution compatibility, concentration, and pH; adjust as needed.
- • Connect fill hoses, strainers, and return lines to ensure clean, accurate loading.
- • Clean and service tanks, pumps, and hoses; flush and neutralize lines after use.
- • Label each batch and maintain mixing logs, inventory, and regulatory records.
- • Implement spill prevention and response and follow SDS and PPE requirements.
