Description
Support personal injury attorneys by investigating accidents, gathering medical evidence, drafting pleadings and demand packages, and researching liability and damages. Manage case files and deadlines, communicate with clients and insurers, and assist through settlement, mediation, and trial.
  • • Conduct client intake and collect facts, police reports, photos, and witness statements for injury claims.
  • • Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records and bills; track treatment and damages.
  • • Draft and file complaints, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and affidavits.
  • • Prepare demand letters and settlement packages with liability analysis and damages calculations.
  • • Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • • Schedule IMEs, medical appointments, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • • Manage case files and calendars, including statutes of limitation and court deadlines.
  • • Investigate insurance coverage, policy limits, and potential liens; coordinate lien resolution and reductions.
  • • Research statutes, case law, and local rules relevant to negligence and personal injury claims.
  • • Prepare for mediation, hearings, and trial by organizing exhibits, trial notebooks, and witness lists; arrange testimony.
  • • E-file pleadings, manage service of process, and track court filings and returns.
  • • Maintain accurate costs, settlement disbursements, and trust accounting in case management systems.
