Description
Support litigators by investigating facts, managing discovery, preparing pleadings and motions, and researching legal precedent. Coordinate case development and trial preparation from intake through verdict and post-judgment.
  • • Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, court rules, and procedures to support motions and trial strategy.
  • • Investigate case facts, collect evidence, and analyze public records and discovery to develop claims and defenses.
  • • Draft, edit, and cite-check pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and briefs.
  • • Manage discovery, including eDiscovery collections, document review, privilege logs, and productions.
  • • Coordinate and prepare witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial; issue and track subpoenas.
  • • File and serve pleadings and other papers via e-filing systems; maintain proofs of service.
  • • Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and docketing; track deadlines and court-rule compliance.
  • • Prepare for depositions and trial by creating exhibit lists, binders, demonstratives, and trial notebooks.
  • • Meet with clients, experts, and vendors to gather information, schedule events, and relay case updates.
  • • Summarize depositions, medical and business records, and other evidence for attorney review.
  • • Assist with settlement, mediation, and arbitration by preparing statements, exhibits, and hearing materials.
  • • Maintain and update research and citation records; Shepardize/KeyCite and verify citations.
