Description
Assist immigration attorneys by researching statutes, regulations, and policy, gathering evidence, and preparing immigration applications and filings. Support matters before USCIS, EOIR, the BIA, and consulates by organizing case materials, drafting forms and correspondence, and managing deadlines.
  • • Research the INA, CFR, policy guidance, and relevant case law.
  • • Collect civil documents, employment records, and country-condition evidence.
  • • Prepare USCIS forms and application packets (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-129, N-400) under attorney supervision.
  • • Draft affidavits, declarations, cover letters, and client correspondence; organize digital and paper files.
  • • Prepare exhibit lists and evidence binders for interviews, hearings, and RFEs.
  • • Conduct client intakes and fact interviews; coordinate interpreters as needed.
  • • File applications, motions, and appeals with USCIS, EOIR, the BIA, and courts as directed.
  • • Track case milestones, priority dates, expirations, and filing deadlines in a case management system.
  • • Schedule biometrics, medical exams, interviews, and hearings.
  • • Support consular processing by preparing DS-160/DS-260 and NVC submissions; liaise with consulates.
  • • Request and review FOIA records and background checks.
  • • Draft responses to RFEs, NOIDs, and consular inquiries with supporting citations and evidence.
