  • • Supervise or mentor NDT trainees and coordinate work activities.
  • • Produce and evaluate radiographic images to detect discontinuities.
  • • Assess material properties using appropriate electrical and mechanical measurements.
  • • Apply established NDT methods, including acoustic emission, leak testing, and infrared thermography.
  • • Document NDT procedures, parameters, indications, and results.
  • • Map the location and extent of imperfections using ultrasonic or other sonic measurements.
  • • Make radiographic exposures while leaving components intact and serviceable.
  • • Perform visual examinations for corrosion, fatigue, cracks, and other flaws using borescopes, CCTV, and fiber optics.
  • • Interpret and evaluate test results to applicable codes, standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • • Identify defects in concrete and building materials using thermal or infrared techniques.
  • • Identify internal defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing.
  • • Select, set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment per procedures.
  • • Conduct liquid penetrant testing, including pre-cleaning, application, removal, development, and evaluation.
  • • Prepare formal NDT reports and maintain accurate inspection records and traceability.
  • • Interpret results across NDT methods (e.g., AE, ET, LT, PT, MT, RT, IR, UT, vibration, VT) and recommend disposition.
