Description
Interview loan applicants to gather and validate personal, financial, and collateral information; assist in completing applications and disclosures; verify employment, credit, and references; prepare and submit complete files to underwriting; explain loan options, terms, and repayment; and communicate application status and decisions to applicants.
  • • Verify accuracy and completeness of loan applications and supporting documents.
  • • Interview applicants to obtain personal, financial, and collateral information.
  • • Assist applicants in completing forms and required disclosures.
  • • Explain loan products, rates, fees, terms, and repayment schedules.
  • • Calculate preliminary payments and debt-to-income ratios using software.
  • • Collect and upload IDs, income statements, tax returns, and bank statements.
  • • Obtain credit reports and verify employment and references with authorized sources.
  • • Enter and maintain application data in loan origination systems (LOS) or CRM software.
  • • Prepare application packages and submit with recommendations for underwriting.
  • • Track application status and follow up on outstanding items.
  • • Communicate approvals, counteroffers, or denials in compliance with regulations.
  • • Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and appraisers as needed.
  • • Ensure privacy and compliance with lending policies and regulations.
  • • Maintain organized electronic records and interview notes.
  • • Schedule and conduct applicant appointments and interviews.
  • • Present next steps and closing requirements to approved applicants.
