Description
Process and support loan files by collecting and verifying applicant information, preparing and reviewing documents, and maintaining accurate records. Coordinate communications among applicants, lenders, and third parties, schedule closings, and route files to underwriting and appraisal. Ensure applications and closing packages are complete and compliant, and assist with transactions from approval through funding.
- • Verify and review accuracy and completeness of loan applications and closing documents.
- • Assist applicants in completing forms and gathering required personal and financial data.
- • Assemble and compile closing packages, including title work, insurance forms, loan documents, and tax receipts.
- • Answer customer questions about application status, documents, and payments.
- • Notify applicants of approvals, denials, or additional information needed by phone, mail, or email.
- • Record applications, loan data, and disbursements in loan processing systems.
- • Prepare and produce applications, closing documents, legal notices, letters, forms, and checks.
- • Provide loan terms and repayment schedules to customers.
- • Calculate, review, and correct interest, principal, payment amounts, and closing costs.
- • Verify collateral documentation and request appraisals or valuations as needed.
- • Contact credit bureaus, employers, and references to verify credit and employment information.
- • File, index, and maintain loan records and digital images.
- • Schedule and coordinate closings with borrowers, sellers, agents, and attorneys.
- • Accept and post payments on accounts.
- • Submit complete application files to underwriting and appraisal departments.
- • Order property or mortgage insurance and track proof of coverage.
- • Monitor accounts for payment timeliness and adherence to loan terms, escalating issues as needed.
