Description
Analyze and evaluate loan applications by reviewing borrower financials, credit profiles, and collateral. Verify documentation and references, prepare credit memos and loan request packages, and present recommendations to underwriting or credit committee. Coordinate with appraisal, legal, and closing teams to ensure complete, compliant files and support post-closing monitoring.
- • Validate accuracy and completeness of loan applications and closing documents.
- • Interview or contact applicants to clarify financials and obtain required documentation.
- • Assemble and review credit packages and closing conditions, including title, insurance, and tax documentation.
- • Respond to applicant and relationship manager inquiries on loan terms, documentation, and process.
- • Communicate application status and next steps to applicants and stakeholders.
- • Enter and maintain loan data in the loan origination system and related databases.
- • Prepare credit memos, term sheets, and supporting analyses for underwriting and approval.
- • Model repayment schedules and present payment scenarios to borrowers and internal teams.
- • Calculate DTI, LTV, cash flow, collateral coverage, pricing, fees, and closing costs; resolve discrepancies.
- • Order, review, and reconcile collateral valuations, appraisals, and title reports.
- • Obtain and analyze credit reports, income and employment verifications, bank statements, and tax records.
- • Maintain organized electronic loan files and audit-ready documentation.
- • Coordinate with closing, legal, and escrow teams to satisfy conditions and prepare for funding.
- • Monitor covenant compliance and post-closing document delivery.
- • Submit complete loan packages with risk assessments and approval or decline recommendations.
- • Verify required insurance and endorsements and track renewals as needed.
- • Review portfolio performance, delinquencies, and exceptions and escalate risks.
- • Assess credit limits and recommend line amounts, renewals, and extensions within policy.
