Description
Plan, deliver, and manage CPR/AED and basic life support instruction for individuals, workplaces, and community groups. Use guidelines and learner data to tailor, implement, and evaluate courses that build lifesaving skills and readiness. Coordinate with training centers, healthcare providers, schools, and employers; maintain certification compliance and records; and oversee equipment, scheduling, and fiscal resources for CPR education.
  • • Record class rosters, skills check results, contact hours, and certification issuance.
  • • Plan and teach CPR/AED, choking relief, and BLS courses for laypersons and healthcare providers.
  • • Maintain partnerships with training centers, EMS agencies, hospitals, schools, and employers.
  • • Create class schedules, safety procedures, and course policies aligned with certifying body standards.
  • • Collaborate with organizations to assess resuscitation training needs and set participation goals.
  • • Maintain learner databases, mailing lists, and communications for class notices and renewal reminders.
  • • Supervise assistant instructors and skills evaluators during courses.
  • • Evaluate course effectiveness using performance metrics, feedback, and remediation outcomes.
  • • Promote classes through outreach, social media, and training center websites; respond to inquiries.
  • • Advise agencies on appropriate CPR curricula, delivery formats, and training frequency.
  • • Maintain current training materials, instructor manuals, and reference resources per latest guidelines.
  • • Conduct pre-course assessments and post-course surveys to identify gaps and improve instruction.
  • • Develop handouts, skills checklists, and scenario scripts tailored to audience needs.
  • • Prepare and distribute course materials and job aids on CPR, AED use, and emergency response.
  • • Deliver initial and renewal CPR/BLS training and competency checks for staff and volunteers.
  • • Inspect, clean, and maintain manikins, AED trainers, and PPE; ensure infection-control compliance and equipment readiness.
