Description
Plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical education to improve staff competencies, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Use data to assess learning needs, design evidence-based orientation and continuing education, monitor outcomes, and support practice change. Serve as a resource to clinicians and leaders, coordinate training across departments and academic partners, and may manage budgets and accreditation for education programs.
- • Document training activities, attendance, competencies, and outcomes in the learning management system.
- • Develop and deliver orientation, in-service education, and simulation-based training for clinical staff.
- • Build collaborative relationships with unit leaders, educators, and academic affiliates to coordinate training.
- • Create annual education plans, competency frameworks, and policies to meet organizational and regulatory goals.
- • Partner with physicians, nurses, and quality teams to assess learning needs and set measurable objectives.
- • Maintain LMS records, skills checklists, and communication channels to support program operations.
- • Supervise or coordinate preceptors, clinical instructors, and education support staff.
- • Design and administer competency assessments, skills validations, and program evaluations.
- • Communicate education programs through intranet pages, newsletters, and internal campaigns.
- • Prepare and manage budgets, vendor contracts, and funding requests for education resources and simulation.
- • Advise departments on training strategies, instructional methods, and change management for practice updates.
- • Curate and update clinical guidelines, reference materials, and educational resources for staff.
- • Conduct learning needs assessments, surveys, and gap analyses using performance and quality data.
- • Develop evidence-based curricula, e-learning modules, and job aids aligned with clinical standards.
- • Produce and distribute quick-reference tools, tip sheets, and patient-safety education materials.
- • Plan and administer onboarding programs, continuing education activities, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS.
