Description
Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained rooms and public areas.
- • Assign daily room and area assignments to housekeeping and laundry staff.
- • Create and adjust work schedules and breaks to meet occupancy and service demands.
- • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- • Coordinate room status updates and turnovers with the front desk.
- • Train staff on cleaning procedures, equipment use, PPE, and chemical handling.
- • Coach and evaluate employee performance and appearance to meet standards.
- • Resolve guest complaints and service issues related to housekeeping.
- • Requisition and control linens, amenities, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- • Submit, track, and follow up on maintenance work orders.
- • Enforce safety, sanitation, and infection-control policies and OSHA/HAZCOM requirements.
- • Plan and supervise periodic deep cleaning and project work.
- • Manage lost-and-found and secure guest property per policy.
- • Monitor productivity and quality; document inspections and labor hours.
- • Take corrective and disciplinary actions to address performance problems.
- • Recruit, interview, and help hire and onboard new staff.
- • Meet with department managers to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
- • Use guest feedback and quality audits to drive service improvements.
- • Investigate employee concerns and escalate or resolve per company policy.
