Description
Supervise daily salon operations, coordinating stylists and support staff to deliver high-quality hair services, ensure sanitation compliance, optimize schedules, and drive client satisfaction and retail sales.
- • Assign stylist and front-desk schedules to meet appointment demand and walk-ins.
- • Inspect stations, tools, and shampoo areas for cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance per state cosmetology rules.
- • Train stylists and assistants on service standards, consultations, sanitation, POS use, and product knowledge.
- • Observe and evaluate technical quality, client care, and professional appearance; coach for improvement.
- • Meet with the salon owner or regional manager to review targets, policies, and operational updates.
- • Share client preferences, allergies, and texture-specific needs with staff.
- • Resolve service issues, redos, refunds, and escalated client complaints.
- • Order and manage inventory of color, chemicals, backbar, retail products, towels, and PPE.
- • Document and administer corrective actions for performance or policy violations.
- • Recruit, interview, and onboard stylists, assistants, and receptionists.
- • Support continuing education and arrange classes on cutting, coloring, and product lines.
- • Plan and execute local marketing, social media, and in-salon promotions to attract clients.
- • Apply client feedback, reviews, and rebook rates to improve services and training.
- • Arrange breaks and station rotations to maintain coverage for appointments and walk-ins.
- • Direct daily workflow for stylists, reception, and shampoo assistants; coordinate appointment flow.
- • Report employee disputes, safety issues, or facility problems to management.
- • Investigate employee complaints and resolve issues per policy, such as schedule or tip disputes.
