Description
Supervise and coordinate animal trainers and handlers, ensuring safe, humane, and effective training programs and high-quality client service.
- • Assign training schedules, client sessions, and care rotations to ensure timely, humane, and effective service.
- • Inspect training areas, kennels, and equipment for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance compliance.
- • Train staff in animal handling, behavior-modification techniques, safety protocols, and facility policies.
- • Observe and evaluate trainers' techniques and animal outcomes to ensure welfare standards and program efficacy.
- • Meet with management, veterinarians, and behaviorists to align on protocols, scheduling, and operational changes.
- • Brief staff on each animal's behavior history, health needs, and client goals.
- • Resolve client complaints about training progress, communication, or safety.
- • Requisition training tools, enrichment supplies, PPE, and veterinary services.
- • Address performance issues and administer corrective action per policy.
- • Recruit, interview, and hire trainers and animal care staff.
- • Pursue continuing education on animal behavior science, welfare regulations, and training methods.
- • Oversee marketing of training programs and client outreach initiatives.
- • Use client and program feedback to refine curricula and service delivery.

- • Direct daily activities of trainers, handlers, and kennel attendants.
