Description
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of public comfort stations (restrooms and showers), overseeing staff, sanitation, supplies, maintenance coordination, and customer service to meet health and accessibility standards.
- • Assign shifts and zone coverage to attendants and custodial crews to maintain continuous service.
- • Inspect restrooms, showers, fixtures, and surrounding areas for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance.
- • Train staff in cleaning protocols, chemical handling, PPE use, bloodborne pathogen procedures, and customer service.
- • Observe and evaluate staff appearance and performance; provide coaching and documentation.
- • Coordinate with facilities, maintenance, and event managers on repairs, closures, and service adjustments.
- • Brief staff on expected traffic, special events, and needs of families, seniors, and guests with disabilities.
- • Respond to and resolve visitor complaints or incidents related to cleanliness, access, or amenities.
- • Requisition and manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and services (e.g., paper goods, soap, sanitizer, PPE).
- • Enforce policies and take corrective or disciplinary action for performance or safety violations.
- • Recruit, onboard, and schedule new attendants and custodians.
- • Participate in safety and sanitation training to stay current with public health standards.
- • Develop and post user information and hygiene signage; coordinate public notices for closures or maintenance.
- • Use usage data and customer feedback to improve cleaning frequencies and service levels.
- • Plan and stagger breaks to keep facilities open and adequately staffed.
- • Direct daily cleaning rounds, deep cleans, and biohazard responses; coordinate with contractors as needed.
- • Report and escalate issues to management, including vandalism, plumbing failures, or security concerns.
- • Investigate employee concerns and incidents and document resolutions per policy.
