Description
Directly supervise and coordinate warehouse material handlers and equipment operators, overseeing receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • • Enforce warehouse safety rules, PPE use, and OSHA compliance.
  • • Plan shift staffing, work assignments, and equipment to meet inbound and outbound targets.
  • • Coordinate receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • • Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to exchange information and resolve issues.
  • • Resolve employee concerns and facilitate problem solving.
  • • Review orders, production schedules, and shipping or receiving notices to set priorities and work sequences.
  • • Recommend and implement improvements to productivity, equipment performance, and service.
  • • Maintain accurate records of time, labor, inventory movements, and expenditures in the WMS.
  • • Interpret shipping orders, safety procedures, and company policies for staff.
  • • Explain and demonstrate work tasks to new hires and assign cross-training to experienced workers.
  • • Prepare and submit reports on throughput, labor, inventory accuracy, and incidents.
  • • Support personnel actions, including hiring, evaluations, recognition, and corrective actions.
  • • Requisition labor, supplies, packaging materials, equipment, parts, and repair services.
  • • Inspect inventory, pallets, racking, forklifts, and docks for safety and compliance.
  • • Estimate labor hours, storage space, and equipment needs based on volume forecasts.
  • • Schedule preventive maintenance for forklifts, conveyors, and other material handling equipment.
  • • Verify counts, weights, and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • • Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed to support operations.
  • • Monitor floor operations to ensure SOP compliance and proper use of materials.
  • • Assist teams with loading, unloading, and pallet building when required.
  • • Direct dock operations, yard movements, and carrier pickups.
  • • Create and adjust shift schedules and priorities.
