Description
Develop production-ready technical specifications, fit standards, and construction details for apparel. Lead fittings and collaborate with design, patternmaking, and vendors to ensure accurate fit, quality, and manufacturability.
  • • Lead fit sessions on prototypes and samples, diagnosing and resolving fit and balance issues.
  • • Create and update technical sketches, callouts, and construction details using CAD.
  • • Partner with patternmakers and production to optimize marker layout and material yield.
  • • Build graded size specifications, points of measure, and tolerances across size ranges.
  • • Review and comment on patterns to ensure design intent, fit, and manufacturability.
  • • Develop comprehensive tech packs with BOMs, measurement charts, and construction standards.
  • • Coordinate sample development and track approvals from prototype through pre-production and top-of-production.
  • • Translate design concepts into clear sewing methods, seam, stitch, and finishing standards.
  • • Maintain accurate specs, labels, and instructions within PLM systems.
  • • Calculate and validate measurements, ease, and stretch allowances by fabric type.
  • • Analyze sketches and samples to determine components, trims, and material requirements.
  • • Create measurement diagrams and placement templates for pockets, pleats, buttonholes, and trims.
  • • Liaise with vendors on sample execution and timelines, and evaluate workmanship and fit results.
  • • Input, audit, and version-control specifications and pattern notes in digital systems.
  • • Issue pattern corrections and construction revisions following fittings and wear tests.
  • • Create SOPs and quality standards for garment assembly and finishing.
