Description
Design and build precision embroidery patterns and digitized stitch files for apparel and textiles. Plan placement and hooping, specify threads and stabilizers, and test and refine sew-outs for production.
  • • Digitize artwork into efficient, machine-ready embroidery stitch files.
  • • Test embroidery patterns with sew-outs on representative fabrics and evaluate quality.
  • • Adjust density, underlay, pull compensation, and stitch angles for fabric type and size.
  • • Plan placement, orientation, and alignment relative to seams, pockets, and other features.
  • • Optimize pathing to reduce trims, thread changes, and run time.
  • • Create graded design sizes and variants for different garments and placements.
  • • Collaborate with designers to interpret artwork and meet brand standards.
  • • Produce production-ready files, color charts, and stitch counts.
  • • Generate and label templates and placement printouts for hooping and appliqué.
  • • Mark garments or panels for accurate placement and hooping.
  • • Determine thread, stabilizer, backing, and topping requirements for each design.
  • • Calculate scale and distortion allowances for stretch and hoop tension.
  • • Create physical templates and cut appliqué pieces when required.
  • • Input and maintain design parameters in digitizing software and machine formats.
  • • Troubleshoot and refine files to correct puckering, registration, or thread-break issues.
  • • Compile tech packs with placement measurements, thread lists, and machine settings.
