  • • Apply grade rules to base patterns to create full size ranges.
  • • Build graded nests in CAD and verify piece alignment.
  • • Validate graded measurements against size charts and tolerances.
  • • Adjust grading for fabric stretch, shrinkage, and silhouette.
  • • Ensure notches, drill marks, seam allowances, and labels grade correctly.
  • • Partner with patternmakers and tech designers on fit intent before grading.
  • • Create and maintain grading specs and grade rule libraries.
  • • Produce size measurement charts and update tech packs.
  • • Fit size run samples from graded patterns and refine grades.
  • • Export graded pattern files and cut-ready data for vendors.
  • • Check balance, walk, and seam lengths across sizes.

  • • Digitize paper patterns and clean up pieces for grading.
  • • Track revisions and manage version control for graded styles.
