Description
Serve as the university's chief academic officer, leading strategy and standards for teaching, research, and student success; oversee deans and academic support units, steward academic budgets, ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance, and advance curriculum, faculty excellence, and institutional effectiveness.
- • Set the academic vision and strategic plans aligned with institutional goals.

- • Oversee publication of the academic catalog and official academic policy communications.
- • Set and uphold policies for academic integrity, grade appeals, and complaints.
- • Prepare and present reports and dashboards on academic performance and outcomes.
- • Encourage and support grant development and externally funded research and instructional initiatives.
- • Forge partnerships with industry, K–12, and community colleges to advance programs and workforce pathways.
- • Lead crisis and continuity planning for academic operations.
- • Champion instructional innovation, online and hybrid learning, and effective use of academic technologies.
- • Participate in faculty governance and university committees on academic issues.
- • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations affecting academic programs and licensure.
- • Collaborate with student affairs on co-curricular learning and student success initiatives.
