Description
Lead and oversee undergraduate and graduate admissions strategy and operations at a postsecondary institution, directing recruitment, application processing, selection, and yield to meet enrollment, quality, and diversity goals while ensuring compliance and excellent service.
- • Develop and execute annual enrollment and recruitment plans aligned with institutional goals.
- • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and, when necessary, separate admissions staff.
- • Plan, administer, and control the admissions budget; monitor expenditures and produce financial reports.
- • Establish and refine admissions policies, procedures, and evaluation rubrics based on data and best practices.
- • Oversee application processing, credential evaluation, and decision workflows for all programs.
- • Chair or coordinate admissions committees and train readers for holistic review.
- • Collaborate with academic leaders to set admission requirements and transfer credit policies.
- • Direct domestic and international recruitment, including travel, school visits, and college fairs.
- • Design and implement multi-channel marketing and communication plans for prospects and applicants.
- • Coordinate campus visit programs, open houses, and admitted-student yield events.
- • Partner with Financial Aid to align merit awarding and need-based packaging with enrollment goals.
- • Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations and applicable accreditation standards.
- • Manage admissions CRM and application systems; ensure data integrity, security, and timely reporting.
- • Analyze funnel metrics and market trends; prepare dashboards and reports for leadership.
- • Represent the institution at community events, consortia, and professional conferences.
- • Collaborate with Marketing to develop admissions publications, web content, and digital assets.
- • Build partnerships with high schools, community colleges, and community organizations to expand pipelines.
- • Coordinate transfer articulation and pathway agreements with academic units.
- • Set customer service standards and oversee communications to prospects, applicants, and school counselors.
- • Oversee international admissions processes and coordinate visa-related documentation with campus partners.
- • Maintain application timelines, deadlines, and decision release schedules.
- • Advance diversity, equity, and access goals across recruitment and selection.
- • Train faculty, alumni, and student ambassadors engaged in recruitment activities.
- • Prepare accreditation, compliance, and enrollment reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Manage deposits, deferrals, and waitlists to optimize class composition and yield.
- • Serve on institutional committees related to enrollment management and student success.
