Description
Deliver newspapers and related publications along established routes to homes, businesses, racks, and retail outlets. Load and drive to drop points, place papers accurately and on time, collect payments when required, maintain delivery and return records, service newspaper racks, and keep vehicle and equipment in good condition.
- • Collect subscription or retail payments, make change, and issue receipts.
- • Respond to missed-delivery or service complaints and resolve or escalate.
- • Inform route customers and retailers of delivery changes, special editions, or price updates.
- • Record new starts, stops, vacation holds, and delivery instructions per company guidelines.
- • Drive a car or van to deliver newspapers and publications on established routes.
- • Collect coins from newspaper racks, restock with current editions, and remove unsold papers.
- • Log deliveries, returns, rack counts, and exceptions on daily records or mobile app.
- • Review route lists and drop points; load bundles, inserts, and supplies accordingly.
- • Set up and maintain newspaper racks and point-of-sale displays at retail locations.
- • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep racks and delivery equipment clean.
- • Insert preprints, supplements, and special sections into papers before delivery.
