Description
Operate overhead traveling bridge cranes to safely lift, move, and accurately place materials within plants, warehouses, or yards using cab, pendant, or radio controls; ensure proper rigging, load control, and compliance with capacity limits and safety procedures.
- • Confirm load weight and center of gravity; compare to crane, hoist, and rigging capacities to prevent overload.
- • Operate bridge, trolley, and hoist motions with cab, pendant, or radio controls to lift, travel, and precisely place loads.
- • Perform pre-shift inspections of the crane, hoist, wire rope or chain, hooks, latches, slings, and safety devices; document results.
