Description
Receive and process customer laundry, dry cleaning, and wash-and-fold orders at the counter; explain service options and policies, compute costs, accept payment, tag and track garments, coordinate processing and pickup/delivery, and ensure quality customer service.
  • • Greet customers and receive laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations orders.
  • • Inspect garments for stains, damage, and fabric type; note special instructions.
  • • Check pockets and tag items with customer and order information.
  • • Explain services, care options, turnaround times, and policies.
  • • Compute charges by piece, weight, or service; apply discounts; issue receipts.
  • • Accept payments and provide change or digital confirmations.
  • • Prepare and print claim tickets; verify customer information.
  • • Enter orders into POS and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • • Answer calls, messages, or app inquiries with pricing, status, and pickup times.
  • • Coordinate pickup/drop-off and delivery schedules with drivers or plant.
  • • Sort and stage items for processing; bundle orders for transfer.
  • • Inspect finished items for quality and completeness.
  • • Assemble, bag, and label orders for customer pickup or delivery.
  • • Notify customers of order status, delays, or special treatment fees.
  • • Resolve customer concerns, missing items, or damage claims per policy.
  • • Maintain a clean, organized counter and restock supplies.
