Description
Prepare and cook made-to-order grilled items at the grill station, including burgers, steaks, chicken, seafood, and vegetables. Control grill temperatures and doneness, coordinate ticket timing, and maintain food safety and cleanliness; may take counter orders on the line.
- • Set up, preheat, and maintain grills, flat tops, and broilers.
- • Grill and sear meats, seafood, and vegetables to specified doneness.
- • Season, baste, and finish items; toast buns and melt cheeses as ordered.
- • Plan and time multiple tickets so items for a table finish together.
- • Assemble and garnish plates or trays; hand off to expo or serve at the counter.
- • Monitor internal temperatures and doneness using thermometers and specs.
- • Clean and sanitize grills, utensils, and work surfaces throughout the shift.
- • Restock and rotate proteins, buns, and toppings; label and date items.
- • Complete basic prep for the station, such as portioning meats and slicing produce.
- • Communicate with servers and cooks to coordinate orders and special requests.
- • Follow food safety and allergen protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
- • Break down the grill station and perform end-of-shift cleaning tasks.
