Description
Prepare and serve made-to-order deli foods, including sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches, salads, and hot or cold prepared items. Take and fill customer orders at the deli counter, maintain cases and equipment, and ensure fast service and food safety.
- • Take and record in-person, phone, and catering orders.
- • Clean and sanitize slicers, knives, prep equipment, counters, and service cases.
- • Plan and time tickets so all items for an order are finished together.
- • Slice meats and cheeses to order; portion and weigh accurately.
- • Assemble sandwiches, wraps, and salads per customer specifications.
- • Grill or press panini and melts; heat soups and other prepared deli items.
- • Set up, stock, and rotate deli cases, steam tables, and salad bars.
- • Weigh, price, wrap, and label products with dates and allergen information.
- • Monitor and log food temperatures; follow FIFO and food-safety standards.
- • Order ingredients and supplies; restock shelves and coolers.
- • Accept payments and complete POS transactions; provide counter service.
