Description
Review construction documents and permit applications to determine compliance with building codes, zoning, fire and life safety, accessibility, and related regulations; coordinate multidisciplinary reviews, issue permits or correction notices, and guide applicants toward code-compliant solutions.
- • Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for compliance with codes, zoning, and ordinances.
- • Evaluate life safety on plans, including occupancy, construction type, fire-resistance, egress, fire protection, and accessibility.
- • Perform structural plan checks for load paths, lateral systems, foundations, and material specifications.
- • Check site plans for setbacks, grading, drainage, floodplain, and right-of-way requirements.
- • Verify energy code, ventilation, and green building requirements using submitted calculations and documentation.
- • Review engineering reports, calculations, and special inspection statements for completeness and accuracy.
