Teach postsecondary career and technical education programs that provide sub-baccalaureate occupational training in fields such as construction, mechanics/repair, manufacturing, transportation, or cosmetology. Instruct adult and recent high school students in classrooms and labs at colleges and technical centers, developing industry-aligned curricula, assessing competencies, and ensuring safe, hands-on learning.
- • Supervise and monitor students' safe use of tools, machinery, and lab equipment.
- • Observe and evaluate hands-on and theory work; provide timely feedback and improvement plans.
- • Present lectures, demonstrations, and discussions using visual and multimedia aids.
- • Administer written, oral, and performance assessments to measure competency.
- • Maintain accurate grades, attendance, certifications, and training records.
- • Oversee labs, projects, clinicals, and field placements.
- • Assess learners' training needs and adapt instruction accordingly.
- • Provide individualized, tutorial, and remedial instruction.

- • Serve on program, curriculum, and accreditation committees and advisory boards.
- • Review enrollment applications and correspond with prospective students.
