Description
Perform fast, routine vehicle maintenance—oil and filter changes, fluid services, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections—while ensuring accurate documentation, shop safety, and clear customer communication.
  • • Perform quick oil and filter changes per manufacturer specifications.
  • • Drain and refill engine oil; replace drain plug gaskets; torque fasteners to spec; check for leaks.
  • • Verify correct oil grade and quantity using service data or VIN.
  • • Replace engine air and cabin air filters.
  • • Inspect and top off eligible fluids (washer, coolant where safe, power steering, differential).
  • • Lubricate chassis fittings where applicable.
  • • Check tire condition and set pressures to spec.
  • • Rotate tires and torque lug nuts to specification.
  • • Reset maintenance lights and oil-life monitors.
  • • Test batteries with a conductance tester; clean terminals; install replacements.
  • • Replace wiper blades and basic exterior bulbs as authorized.
  • • Perform multipoint inspections using shop checklists; document findings.
  • • Inspect belts, hoses, and visible leaks; report concerns.
  • • Inspect brakes and suspension visually during wheel-off services; note measurements when possible.
  • • Operate lifts, jacks, and hand/pneumatic tools safely.
  • • Use scan tools or TPMS tools to relearn sensors when required.
  • • Create service labels/stickers and update POS/service records.
  • • Communicate maintenance needs and estimates to service advisors/customers.
  • • Handle and recycle used oil, filters, and antifreeze per EPA and shop policies.
  • • Maintain a clean, organized bay and restock fluids, filters, and supplies.
  • • Perform differential, transfer case, and manual transmission fluid services when approved.
  • • Perform coolant drain-and-fill or exchange services per procedure.
  • • Install PCV valves and fuel caps as needed.
  • • Apply thread sealants, crush washers, and torque procedures to prevent comebacks.
  • • Verify completed services: fluid levels correct, no warning lights, no leaks.
  • • Follow OSHA and shop safety rules; wear required PPE.
  • • Assist with parts receiving and inventory counts.
