Description
Evaluate hearing and communication needs; select, fit, and dispense hearing aids and assistive technologies. Provide counseling, aural rehabilitation, verification and follow-up care; perform ear care and device repairs; coordinate referrals; and manage records, warranties, insurance, and practice operations.
- • Administer diagnostic hearing evaluations using specialized instruments.
- • Examine and clean ear canals.

- • Ensure compliance with state dispensing regulations, documentation, and privacy standards.
- • Provide teleaudiology consultations and remote device adjustments when appropriate.
- • Train and supervise support staff or students in dispensing procedures.
