Description
Inspect intermodal shipping containers, their contents, and handling equipment to ensure safe, compliant transport of cargo by truck, rail, and vessel. Verify structural integrity, securement, seals, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- • Prepare and submit inspection reports for containers and cargo.
- • Inspect container interiors to ensure freight is properly braced, blocked, and secured.
- • Record container IDs, seal numbers, conditions, and any issues encountered.
- • Advise loading crews on safe stowage of heavy or hazardous cargo in containers.
- • Observe loading and unloading to verify compliance with packing and handling procedures.
- • Recommend corrective actions to address violations or deficiencies found during inspections.
- • Inspect loaded containers, lashing, and handling gear for compliance and maintenance needs.
