Description
Assist the kindergarten teacher with instruction, classroom management, and daily routines to support young children's academic, social, and physical development. Work under the teacher's direction; the teacher has primary responsibility for planning, curriculum, and assessment.
- • Assist with morning arrival, bus drop-off, and dismissal routines.
- • Discuss assigned duties with the teacher to coordinate instructional support.
- • Set up and rotate learning centers and materials.
- • Guide children during circle time, read-alouds, and class discussions.
- • Support early literacy, phonemic awareness, and handwriting practice.
- • Reinforce early math concepts using manipulatives in small groups.

- • Assist with snack and lunch routines, including hygiene and cleanup.

- • Clean and sanitize tables, toys, and learning areas.
- • Operate audio-visual tools and interactive whiteboards; troubleshoot basic issues.
- • Assist students with tablets or computers and approved learning apps.
- • Prepare copies; cut, collate, and assemble take-home materials.
- • Requisition or restock classroom supplies as directed.
- • Collect permission slips and fees for classroom activities as directed.
