Description
Edit, assemble, synchronize, and enhance dialogue, music, and sound effects for film, TV, video, podcasts, games, and other media, preparing polished tracks for the mix and final delivery.
- • Collaborate with directors, producers, and re-recording mixers to define editorial goals and sonic style.
- • Organize, ingest, and conform audio to picture turnovers, EDLs, and change notes.
- • Edit and clean dialogue, removing noise, clicks, and artifacts with restoration tools.
- • Cut, design, and layer sound effects, Foley, and ambiences to support story and timing.
- • Prepare ADR and Foley cue sheets and build recording sessions.
- • Sync and time-align ADR, Foley, and effects to picture and production sound.
- • Balance levels, EQ, and dynamics for temp mixes and editorial reviews.
- • Conform music edits and stems and assemble M&E tracks as required.
- • Create session templates, track layouts, and naming conventions for efficient workflow.
- • Export and deliver stems, AAF/OMF, and other assets to mixing stages per specs.
- • Maintain detailed session notes, version control, and change logs.
- • Ingest, transcode, and sample-rate convert media to required formats.
- • Troubleshoot DAW, plug-in, and media issues and coordinate with engineering when needed.
- • Archive and back up sessions and assets following studio policies.
