Description
Manage and execute the engineering scope of solar projects from feasibility through commissioning. Perform site-specific analyses and develop PV and solar thermal designs for residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring code compliance, performance, safety, schedule, and budget.
- • Perform structural, thermal, electrical, and cost analyses to validate designs.
- • Coordinate utility interconnection and ensure NEC, IBC, and AHJ compliance.
- • Create and enforce SOPs, QA/QC checklists, and safety standards.
- • Evaluate and qualify modules, inverters, racking, and BOS components.
- • Plan and track engineering deliverables, schedules, risks, and changes.
- • Specify monitoring and SCADA, metering, and performance testing requirements.
- • Produce as-built documentation and O&M packages; support handover and early operations.
- • Lead site audits to gather structural, electrical, and shading data.
- • Develop layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules using CAD.
- • Model energy production and capacity to optimize system performance.
- • Review specifications and drawings; propose design changes for cost and constructability.
- • Define design criteria and equipment specifications for PV and solar thermal systems.
- • Support procurement, installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
