Description
Design, deliver, and evaluate occupational health and safety training programs that reduce chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic risks. Collect training needs data, demonstrate safe work practices and PPE, and assess competency to support compliance and a strong safety culture.
- • Develop, deliver, and update safety training curricula, toolbox talks, and site orientations.
- • Maintain required training records, attendance, and certifications in the LMS.
- • Train workers to select, use, and maintain PPE; monitor proper use in the field.
- • Prepare, set up, and maintain training aids, simulators, and demonstration equipment.
- • Conduct workplace walkthroughs and job hazard analyses to tailor training content.

- • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate emergency response drills and exercises.

- • Create site- and task-specific training for high-risk work, including confined space, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and hot work.
- • Deliver specialized training for green jobs and emerging technologies, such as wind, solar, and battery systems.
- • Coach frontline leaders to conduct effective safety meetings and observations.
- • Monitor and evaluate trainee competency through quizzes, skills demonstrations, and field verifications.
- • Provide guidance on reporting hazards and right-to-refuse protocols.
- • Recommend corrective actions and refresher training based on trends or exposure assessments.
- • Coordinate with occupational health and industrial hygiene to integrate health risks and controls into training.
- • Train employees on fire extinguisher use and evacuation procedures; coordinate required drills.
- • Collaborate with regulators, insurers, and community partners on safety training initiatives.
- • Maintain a schedule and log of daily training activities and locations.
- • Adapt training for language, literacy, and ergonomic needs; ensure accessibility.
- • Evaluate training effectiveness using surveys, leading indicators, and performance data; report results to management.
- • Ensure training content aligns with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and company standards.
